Two teenage girls, who want to show every girl out there that she is beautiful, and that she does mean something. We NEVER judge, and want our blog to be a safe place, where people can share how they feel, and can ask for help. We know first hand what it can be like out there. And we want to be the girls that change that. We aren't complete feminists, we'd still love to have that knight in shining armor, but we would like more equality, for every girl. Just remember that you're not alone and you ARE good enough.

Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.

How to Feel Pretty

Be yourself - there is always someone out there who notices you. You are the only one who can think you are truly pretty. It does not matter if people think you are pretty. What matters is how you feel. And yes, it is easier said than done.

Steps

1 Feel pretty by thinking you are.

2 Understand your good qualities, both inward and external appearance.

3 When you wake up, go to the bathroom, look straight in the mirror, smile at yourself, and then aloud say 10 good things about yourself and what you think makes you beautiful.

4 Read self help books, about building your confidence in yourself.

5 Instead of focusing on your flaws, get stoked about your plus points. Whatever your good features are (and everyone has them!)—your big brown eyes, your cute nose or your full lips—take time to appreciate them. It’ll go a long way toward bolstering your beauty confidence.

6 Start writing down a list of all the good things that you have accomplished in your life. Even if it’s a small thing, like you fed a homeless kitten. It is not the magnitude of the deed, but the fact that you have given of yourself.

7 Buy a new outfit. Make sure it is in your favorite color. It does not have to be fancy, or expensive, it just has to be something special, and make you feel good wearing it.

8 Look in the mirror, and practice smiling. Some people just smile with the mouth, but others, smile with their eyes also. Smile, while thinking of something that you really are happy about. Look at your smile. Then just smile, without thinking of anything at all. Can you see the difference?

9 Practice a daily exercise. Every morning, when you shower, put on your makeup and get dressed. Look in the mirror, and say to yourself, “I am pretty’. “I am happy”, I am going to do a good deed today”.

10 Soak up some rays. Sunshine’s known to be a major mood-booster. In fact, in some Northern European countries where the sun rarely shines during winter, people go for light therapy to fight depression. (But sun damage is even more depressing than sun deprivation—be sure to wear sunscreen.)

11 Get out of your hairstyle rut. Sometimes you feel less than your best simply because you’ve stuck with one style way too long. Try a change of part, or if you’ve always wanted to see how you would look with highlights, now’s the time to go for it.

12 Get toned. You’re sure to like your looks better when you feel fit and your muscles are defined. So find a fitness regimen that suits your level and get moving.

13 Grab a few winks. There’s nothing that puts your looks into a slump like losing out on your zzzzzzs. What’s more, sleep deprivation does a number on your entire outlook. Wake up your perky personality—and give yourself a beauty treat—by catching up on some needed sack time. If you can’t get in eight to nine hours a night, try fitting in a short nap.

14 Be Yourself. Nothing is more attractive than someone who is completely comfortable in her own skin.

15 Think about inner beauty. Look at your personality, your talents and your accomplishments. Everyone has good qualities, both inside and outside, but it’s important to realize that people are more than their outer appearance. It’s great to admire people (and yourself!) for their physical attractiveness, but it’s even better to look at what’s on the inside.

16 Always be confident, being sure of yourself is super-important, which will help you make decisions and once again be comfortable with yourself.

Tips

Don’t get discouraged if people notice your changes and they start talking. They’re just taking notice of the new you.

Do not worry about what anyone says about you. If you know deep down inside that you are beautiful no matter what anyone says, it will not get to you and you’ll just laugh at the person for passing judgment.

Find your fave photo. Get out your scrapbook and search for that picture that shows you at your best. Take a good look…you’ll wonder why you were so down on yourself in the first place.

Give your skin some extra special care. When you pamper yourself, it shows. So commit to better daily skincare and give yourself at-home facial for skin-smoothing results.
Treat yourself to the latest beauty products. Trying something new can help you put a stop to your beauty-bashing. Check out all the new goodies that can play up your looks and let ‘em go to work for you.

Color your mood happy. When you’re feeling down about what you see in the mirror, don’t grab for that gray coat that seems to match your mood perfectly. Put on a bright color to kick you back into gear. For example, try red, the most energetic color in the spectrum.
If it’s a bad hair day that’s causing you grief, put your hair in a bun or ponytail or hide your hair scare under a hat and get involved in an energetic activity—anything—that’ll get your mind off trashing your tresses.

Go for a free makeover. Make your way to the makeup counter of your local department store and ask for some assistance trying new colors. If you always wear shades of plum, tell the sales associate to break out the peach tones for a completely new look. You’ll go home with a fab new take on your face.

Feel pretty all the way down to your feet with an at-home pedicure. Go as wild as you want! Wear a toe ring or two. Paint each nail a different color, use glitter or sample a shade that you’re not quite ready to wear on your hands.

Grab a girlfriend and have a glamorfest. You’ll be sure to perk up once you see how gorgeous you can really be. Have fun getting dressed (and pull out all the stops with false eyelashes, screen star ‘dos and glitzy duds!), then go out somewhere to flaunt your finery.

Laugh. You really can’t help but feel a lift after a good laugh, and a smile is one of your best beauty accessories. Find your funniest friend or rent a comedy video and watch your spirits rise.
Take good care of yourself health wise, brush your teeth, wear new clothes everyday, take showers regularly, and brush your hair. Believe me if you feel healthy you will feel pretty.

Never let others get you down. Smile. : ) Why not?

People can be pretty vicious, just because they’re jealous. Pay them no mind! They’re jealous because they now see you as competition.

Don’t let others put you down. If you feel beautiful, it NEVER matters what others think!
Most of all, be yourself!
Just because you don’t have a romantic partner doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. It only means that you haven’t found the right person. If he or she can’t appreciate you for who you are, then he/she isn’t the right person.

Warnings

Do not do anything drastic, like plastic surgery or anything. If you really want to go through with that, talk to your doctor and understand the risks first.

Don’t get too self-obsessed. You want to be pretty, but not too vain!

No matter what age you are, or what your circumstances might be, you are special, and you still have something unique to offer. Your life, because of who you are, has meaning.

Our blog focuses A LOT on helping others confidence grow, however I have a tip that will leave you and someone else feeling better about themselves.

The next time you see someone new,

  1. Smile at them
  2. or give them a compliment
  3. or do both

It will leave the other person feeling happy that you noticed something or even gave them a simple smile, and make you feel happy because you did something nice.

I do this to everyone I see, even if they look grumpy I smile, and it usually has a very good result :)

Forget every negative thing anyone has ever said or you have ever thought, and think of just one positive. It will change your entire DAY

Let’s all agree on this :)!! What are you trying to prove to anyone really? To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself.
